Ugo Ricciardi’s photographic work focuses on the exploration of spaces imbued with historical, spiritual and architectural significance. His fascination with photography as a tool capable of recording and revealing light is reflected in images that capture unique and evocative atmospheres. Through his camera, the artist explores the relationship between human beings, the natural environment and the ancestral memory that inhabits certain places.
This exploration gave rise to Notturni, a series begun in 2015 that brings together photographs taken under moonlight in different locations around the world. In these images, nocturnal illumination transforms landscapes and structures into settings of great poetic intensity, where the symbolic dimension and mysterious character of each place acquire an almost tangible presence.
