Belén de Cort

Palma’s Nativity Scene Trail is one of the city’s most deeply rooted Christmas traditions. Starting at the end of November and continuing until January, Palma is filled with scenes depicting the birth of Jesus, displayed in churches, cultural centres, markets, convents and other symbolic locations in the old town. This trail is an opportunity to discover the city at a leisurely pace, enjoying its heritage and local crafts through one of the most beloved traditions of Majorcan Christmas.

The starting point: Cort’s Nativity Scene

The route begins with Cort’s Nativity Scene, set up in the foyer of Palma City Hall. Designed by the Associació de Betlemistes de Mallorca (Majorca Nativity Scene Association), it is one of the most visited nativity scenes on the island and marks the official start of the Christmas season in the city. It can be visited from 22 November to 5 January.
