Desokupados is a topical comedy about eviction, squatters and family secrets that unfold in real time during a dramatic showdown. One family faces the threat of losing their home as long-hidden truths come to light. Juan tries to save his shady business dealings with the help of an unorthodox lawyer. María and her cousin Carmen struggle with financial insecurity, half-truths and a home on the brink of collapse. Tension causes lovers’ quarrels, hidden identities and unexpected alliances.
