The 74th ABANCA Ciutat de Palma Optimist Trophy has sold out with 364 boats from 21 countries, making it the most international edition of the last decade, with the participation of new nations such as Puerto Rico, Peru, India and Uruguay. The regatta will bring together some of the world’s best Optimist sailors, including national, European and world champions.
The event will begin on 3 December with registration, followed by the qualifying heats on 4 and 5 December, and the finals on 6 and 7 December.
Founded in 1950 as a Snipe regatta, the Ciutat de Palma has been an exclusive Optimist competition for the last five editions. In 2025, ABANCA joins as a main sponsor to support grassroots sport.
