{"id":16240,"date":"2025-09-10T10:34:56","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T08:34:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/visitpalma.com\/event\/changing-of-the-guard-at-almudaina-palace\/"},"modified":"2025-09-10T10:34:56","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T08:34:56","slug":"changing-of-the-guard-at-almudaina-palace","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/visitpalma.com\/en\/event\/changing-of-the-guard-at-almudaina-palace\/","title":{"rendered":"Changing of the Guard at Almudaina Palace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"299\" data-end=\"604\">Since September 2009, weather permitting, on the last Saturday of each month at 12:00 noon (except in August and December), the famous <strong data-start=\"494\" data-end=\"527\">Changing of the Honor Guard<\/strong> takes place in front of the <strong data-start=\"452\" data-end=\"479\">Royal Palace of La Almudaina<\/strong>, performed by soldiers of the Palma 47 Light Infantry Regiment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"606\" data-end=\"992\">The uniqueness of this event lies in the soldiers\u2019 historical uniforms: until 2018 they wore the outfits of the volunteer corps created in 1808, and since 2019, they wear uniforms reproducing those of the <strong data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"849\">Spanish Infantry of King Charles III<\/strong>. This ceremony recalls the old guard changes of the Palace, when it was the official residence of the Viceroys of Mallorca. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"994\" data-end=\"1170\">In 2025, the ceremony will be held on: <strong data-start=\"1052\" data-end=\"1167\">January 25, February 22, March 29, April 26, May 31, June 28, July 26, September 27, October 25 and November
