DESCRIPTION:The Beata Festival of Palma takes place every year on the third Saturday of October in honor of Saint Catalina Thomàs (1531–1574)\, popularly known as the “Beata” or “Beateta\,” patron saint of Valldemossa and a central figure of Mallorcan devotion since her beatification in 1792. \nThe procession always begins at the church of Santa Magdalena\, where the incorrupt body of the saint is venerated.
