DESCRIPTION:Cinema a la fresca 2026 returns to Palma this summer with a new season of open-air film screenings. From 3 August to 2 September\, audiences can enjoy a carefully curated selection of films from a variety of genres and countries in two of the city’s iconic venues: Parc de les Estacions and Plaça Francesc García i Orell. DESCRIPTION:Experience CaixaForum Palma from a new angle on this guided tour\, which takes you through the history\, architecture and transformation of one of the most iconic buildings in Palma’s historic centre. Led by a guide\, the visit explores the different areas of this striking Modernist landmark and reveals how it became one of Mallorca’s key cultural spaces.  \nAlong the way\, you’ll hear about the building’s origins\, its most distinctive architectural features and the restoration work that has helped safeguard its heritage. The tour also looks at how the building has evolved over time and how it now serves as a place for culture\, art and learning.  \nThis permanent activity takes place on the second Wednesday of every month at 6:00 pm at CaixaForum Palma. Tickets are priced at €3 per person and can be purchased via the CaixaForum website.   \nFor anyone keen to discover the stories behind one of Palma’s most distinctive buildings\, this guided tour offers a closer look at its architectural character\, cultural legacy and present-day life as CaixaForum Palma.

SUMMARY:Fundació Miró Mallorca programme | August 2026
DESCRIPTION:This August\, Fundació Miró Mallorca presents a vibrant cultural programme that brings music and contemporary art together in the setting where Joan Miró created some of his most significant work. Designed for a wide range of audiences\, the programme offers fresh ways to encounter the artist’s legacy and the creative world that shaped it.  \nAmong the highlights is a recital by pianist Eleuterio Domínguez Acevedo\, taking place on 21 August at 8:00 p.m. as part of the Miró and Music series\, organised in collaboration with the Deià International Music Festival. Inspired by Miró’s creative universe\, the recital weaves together music\, improvisation and the poetry of Joan Alcover. Tickets cost €30.   \nVisitors can also explore temporary exhibitions currently on view at the foundation. Among which the following stand out ” Retrobar Miró. La guspira mágica ”\, open from 11 February 2026 to 25 April 2027\, looks at Joan Miró’s creative process and the everyday objects and chance encounters that fed his imagination; Miró Mont-roig/Horta Picasso\, featuring photographs by Jean Marie del Moral; New life after fire\, by artist Carlos Bunga; and The Magic Mountain\, by Claudio Zulian\, all open until 6 September 2026. These exhibitions offer a range of perspectives on artistic creation. Admission is included with entry to the Foundation.
