SUMMARY:PILAR JUNCOSA – THE SHINING STAR
DESCRIPTION:Pilar Juncosa\, the partner of Joan Miró\, was an important figure in the life of the Catalan painter. \nAware of the role she played in his life\, the Pilar i Joan Miró Foundation decided to pay tribute to her by naming the Foundation’s library the Biblioteca Pilar Juncosa. Furthermore\, her profile was added to Wikipedia with the aim of increasing the number of entries about women in the Balearic Islands. The project was led by the Biblioteca de Cort\, as part of the March 8th celebrations. It was the Biblioteca Pilar Juncosa\, together with her family and the entity Successió Miró\, who drafted and added the profile of Joan Miró’s wife to Wikipedia. \nPilar Juncosa played a fundamental role\, not only in Joan Miró’s life but also in his work. For this reason\, as a continuation of the well-deserved tribute\, the Pilar i Joan Miró Foundation has added a permanent exhibition in her honour. \n* The exhibition is located in the Biblioteca Pilar Juncosa\, accessible on the first floor of the Moneo Building at the Pilar i Joan Miró Foundation. \nVisiting hours:\n\nMonday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.\n\n* Tuesday\, Wednesday\, and Thursday also from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

SUMMARY:ZULOAGA / ANGLADA-CAMARASA
DESCRIPTION:The friendship between Ignacio Zuloaga and Hermen Anglada-Camarasa is reflected in the letters they exchanged over the years. These writings offer a deeper insight into their work and their vision of art. They first met at the 1900 Paris Exposition\, where they were already making a name for themselves as artists. From then on\, they maintained a friendship characterised by regular meetings and constant correspondence. In their letters\, they shared opinions\, advice\, and reflections on the creative process and their personal lives. \nThis exhibition brings together twenty-four works\, twelve by each painter\, allowing visitors to compare their artistic similarities and differences. Both depicted popular themes in Paris at the time\, such as female models (majas)\, gypsy women\, and landscapes\, and both were influenced by impressionism and post-impressionism. However\, their styles reveal distinctly different\, personal approaches to their art. \n* Free entry for Caixabank customers and visitors under 16 years old.

SUMMARY:Mabi Revuelta. «La máscara habitada»
DESCRIPTION:The Inhabited Mask depicts an intimate connection between two characters\, Joan and Ninna\, who wander through Joan Miró’s most enchanting studio at Son Boter\, embarking on a mythical journey through the rooms of the house. These figures appear to exist in a suspended state of consciousness\, offering the world their profound and generous vision. Contemporary dancer Pilar Andrés (Ninna) performs alongside the voices of Gabriel Ocina (Joan) and Ena Fernández (Ninna)\, crafting a unique narrative that blends dance\, film\, photography\, and sculpture. This work is part of the audiovisual series La stanza dipinta\, created by Mabi Revuelta during her residency at the Spanish Academy in Rome in 2023\, filmed at archaeological sites such as the Etruscan necropolis of Banditaccia and the villas of Pompeii. The films reflect on archaeological heritage\, the artistic legacy of mural paintings\, and a poetic exploration of the spaces housing them.

SUMMARY:Grip Face. «Utopía del Lodo y Sashimi de Bruma»
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition at Fundación Miró in Palma features “Grip Face\,” an installation of twelve suspended sculptures representing masks hanging from thorn ropes\, arranged in the shape of the European Union symbol. This artwork questions Europe’s pacifist identity and its ambiguous role in armed conflicts\, showing fragmented figures that can be read as symbols of resistance or protective amulets. Inspired by bombings in children’s areas in Gaza and Ukraine\, the installation uses still swings hung from thorns to highlight childhood vulnerability during wartime. The Espai Cúbic becomes a space inviting thoughtful reflection on European identity\, collective memory\, and the fragility of contemporary peace.

SUMMARY:Eva Lootz - Lo tengo en la punta de la lengua
DESCRIPTION:Eva Lootz is a trailblazing artist known for using natural and industrial materials to explore physical\, sensory\, and symbolic processes. Everything is connected: art\, language\, body\, ecology and science. Her artwork does not provide clear-cut interpretations. In fact\, it encourages viewers to find their own meanings in unexpected\, fragmented and unspoken elements\, challenging traditional forms of knowledge. \nIn Lo tengo en la punta de la lengua (It’s on the tip of my tongue)\, Eva Lootz explores the limits of language\, examining what cannot be named\, what is forgotten or trapped between the body and words. The exhibition transforms the space into a sensory realm. Voices\, whispers\, sounds\, everyday objects and materials such as lime\, tin\, wool and felt are related to organs\, prostheses and gestures to release language from its representative function. \nThe works evoke voids\, interruptions and fractures of knowledge in a world saturated with information\, giving shape to the unspeakable\, the excluded and the incomprehensible. Noteworthy pieces include Lengua de cal (Lime Tongue) and Que cada dolor diga su nombre (Let Every Pain Speak Its Name)\, made with Majorcan lime\, a material steeped in historical and symbolic memory that\, as it cracks and is pierced by words\, connects body\, matter and language. \nThe exhibition therefore offers a poetic and critical experience where meaning is not given\, but emerges from fragility\, instability and the unexpected\, opening up new ways of thinking about knowledge\, art and reality. \nOpening hours:\n\n· Tuesday to Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.\n· Sundays and public holidays: 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

SUMMARY:DONNA FERRATO - HOLY
DESCRIPTION:Donna Ferrato’s exhibition Holy explores the female body as an intimate\, sacred and also political space. \nAfter decades of documenting gender-based violence\, patriarchal power structures and intimacy as a space of conflict\, the author reclaims the body as a place of strength\, autonomy and presence. The series challenges traditional ideas of holiness\, often linked to submission and silence\, and focuses on desire\, vulnerability and resistance. Far from embellishing trauma\, her images draw from personal experience to construct a powerful visual statement. Holy posits two issues: who defines what is sacred\, and how. This is how it puts forward a spirituality rooted in lived experience\, freedom and everyday life.

SUMMARY:MANERAS DE FIJAR EL TIEMPO - CLARA CARVAJAL AND CASA PLANAS
DESCRIPTION:This exhibition features an art installation by Clara Carvajal in collaboration with Casa Planas at Casal Solleric. \nThe artist’s proposal connects stone and photography as ways of capturing an eternal and immutable instant. The exhibition also explores time as a properly human perception that does not affect these elements at all. Another theme explored in the exhibition is the impact of tourism on the region and the changes it brings. \nVenue: Aljub\, Casal Solleric.
