A journey on Spain’s oldest boat

Sailing at full sail with the smell of the sea breeze

If travelling on the historic Sóller Train is a unique experience, then so too is a journey on the Rafael Verdera sailing boat, launched in 1841, it is considered the oldest active boat in Spain.

Moored in and departing from the “Golondrinas” (Swallow boat) dock in Palma, it offers exclusive excursions at pre-arranged times for groups of up to 45 people. It can also be the setting for weddings and other private celebrations, as well as all kinds of business events.

This is a fantastic experience. The Rafael Verdera is a wooden sailing boat that preserves the charm of old vessels whilst offering the comfort of food (a barbecue and tapas), canoes and diving equipment on board. Passengers can also participate in manoeuvring the sails, whilst a friendly and experienced crew turn it into an unforgettable trip (you only have to read the opinions of the passengers).
