Jardí del Bisbe
Gardens with views of the cathedral
The Jardí del Bisbe (Bishop’s Garden) is located behind Palma Cathedral, offering a privileged (and refreshing) view of its roof and the rear façade of the Episcopal Palace. The gardens are accessed through the impressive gate, built in the mannerist style.
Once inside, we see a layout typical of the gardens that gave colour and aroma to the ‘Casals’ or mansions of Palma, with geometrically pruned hedges, an orchard and a pond, or ‘safareig’, with water lilies in bloom during the spring and summer.
