A sandy bathing area with calm waters. An artificial breakwater frequently used by cormorants surrounds the bay to the south, whilst to the north is the Ciutat Jardí beach. You can access Es Penyó on foot or by bike from Ciutat Jardí and by car from Torre d'en Pau.

As it is a natural bathing area, it does not have access for people with reduced mobility or its own lifeguard service, although the beach rescue service provides good monitoring
