Bellver Castle sits on the pinnacle of Palma and it therefore offers one of the best views across the entire bay and the island of Mallorca itself, with a unique 360-degree panorama. Built for the purposes of defence and control, it occupies the ideal location. It is not only the panoramic views that makes it worth a visit, but also the castle itself. It is the only circular Gothic castle in Spain, with its three original towers and the additional Torre del Homenaje (Tower of Homage), which lend elegance to its design as a stone fortress.

Its magnificent and well-preserved courtyard serves as the venue for various cultural events throughout the year. The Castle also houses the Museu d’Historia de la Ciutat (City History Museum), perfect to help us understand the historical development of Palma under the Romans, the Moors and the Christians.
